For more information on becoming licensed to provide DV Treatment please visit the UDVC website.

DATES OF TRAINING : October 20th, 21st and 22nd, 2010

TIME: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m

PLACE: Sevier County Sheriff's Office, 835 East 500 North, Richfield, UT (Click here for a map and directions)

COST: $50 registration fee (per participant).

LUNCH: Lunch will not be provided during the training. We strongly suggest that all participants plan ahead of time by bringing a sack lunch. While you can leave the premises for lunch, we do not encourage you to do so due to the amount of time it takes and the limited time we have to present the training. It is also part of our goal to bring local providers closer together and provide a place for networking and problem solving in your local area; lunch is the perfect time for people to do just that!

PLEASE BE PROMPT: You will be required to sign in each morning before the presentations begin to receive your certificate of attendance. Please make arrangements in your schedule so that you will not have beepers or cellular phones in the training room. Speaker notes and handouts will be provided, but bring along pens and paper for taking your own notes. *There will be a 14-minute rule enforced. If you miss more than 14 minutes of any portion of the training you will be required to retake that portion, or receive a “No Credit”.

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals attending this training who require accommodations, including auxiliary communicative aids and services, should notify UDVC at (801) 521-5544 at least one week prior to the start of training.

If you've already paid for the training: Thank you! Please keep a copy of the invoice for your records. If you have not yet paid for the training, please make arrangements with the to pay on or before the first day of the training. If you do not make it to the training and you do not cancel ahead of time you will still be responsible for paying for the training as the UDVC does incur an administrative cost per individual.

If you have any questions, please contact me at ksutton@udvc.org or 801) 521-5544. Again, thank you for your interest in our training! I look forward to meeting you.

P.S. A NOTE ABOUT WEB-BASED TRAINING

In preparation for next week's training, if you have not already taken it, please consider completing the four-hour web-based training course, available at http://www.udvctraining.org. This will give you a basic understanding of DV, which may make your time with live instructors more valuable to you in your practice or work life. This course is free unless you require a certificate of completion (for which there is a $20 fee).

Instructions on how to register for the online course are available at http://www.udvc.org/training.htm.

With the participation hours for completion of the web-based training, DV professionals can fulfill their first-year requirements for training certification (24 hours total).
