WEBINAR: Supporting Survivors of Human Trafficking
Every year, millions of men, women, and children are trafficked in countries around the world, including the United States. Human trafficking is an annual estimated $32 billion industry, second only to drug trafficking as the most profitable form of international crime. However, human trafficking is oftentimes an unseen crime, with individuals not knowing how to spot the signs of human trafficking as well as how to speak with someone who they believe is a victim of human trafficking. When participants complete this training, they will be able to define human trafficking and recognize potential indicators of trafficking, summarize risk factors for victimization and describe the dynamics of control, and lastly, apply a trauma-informed, victim-centered approach when interacting with victims.
